Manama, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Vinod K. Jacob, the newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Bahrain.
The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the ambassador and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah commended India’s initiatives in highlighting the importance of cooperation between countries in the global south and addressing pressing challenges by establishing and strengthening effective intra-partnerships.
The Deputy Prime Minister hailed India’s efforts in organising the second Voice of Global South Summit (VOGSS) and its virtual closing session of the inaugural and concluding sessions at Head of State / Government level under the theme "Global South: Together for One Future" earlier this month.
The ambassador thanked Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah for his participation in the summit, praising his keenness on developing relations between the two countries.
