Dubai: The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah participated in a specialized meeting with Dubai Civil Aviation and Emirates Airlines officials on Monday to discuss future plans between the two countries.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this meeting occurred during Sheikh Humoud's participation at the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai, a prominent international exhibition in the field of aviation, travel, and tourism. The event also saw the presence of the Consul General of Kuwait in the Emirate of Dubai, Khaled Al-Zaabi.
The discussions focused on improving airline performance, including the training of employees with the latest methods and techniques to enhance passenger satisfaction while ensuring safe and comfortable travel experiences. Sheikh Humoud emphasized the importance of Kuwait Airways' participation in this year's exhibition, viewing it as a strategic step towards strengthening Kuwait's presence in key international events related to aviation, travel, and tourism.
He also commended the signing of the bilateral partnership agreement between Kuwait Airways and Emirates Airlines, noting that it will create opportunities for expansion and growth. This agreement aims to support the development of national companies and enhance their competitiveness in the region.
Additionally, Sheikh Humoud highlighted that these efforts are part of the preparations for the opening of the new modern Kuwait International Airport. This development is expected to represent a significant advancement in air transport services in Kuwait, positioning it as a major regional aviation hub.
