Despite The Decline In Its Prices, Basra Crude Records Its First Weekly Gain In A Month

Basra crude closed down, but recorded its first weekly gains in a month.

Basra Heavy crude closed in its last session on Friday, down by 6 cents, to reach $72.03, but it recorded a weekly gain of $1.29, or 1.82%.

While Basra Intermediate crude closed down in its last session, also by 6 cents, to reach 75.18 dollars, but it also recorded weekly gains amounting to 1.29 dollars, or the equivalent of 1.75%.

As for Brent crude, it closed in its last session on Friday, down by 28 cents, to reach $75.58, and recorded a weekly gain of $1.41, or 1.9%.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude closed down in its last session on Friday, also by 31 cents, to reach $71.55 a barrel, and recorded a weekly gain of $1.51, or 2.16%.

Crude oil prices fell on Friday due to a temporary halt to debt ceiling talks between Republicans and Democrats, however, a White House official stated that reaching an agreement was still possible.
