Kuwait city: Dar Souad Al-Sabah for Culture and Creativity has announced the publication of "Al-Sheikhan," a new book by Sheikha Dr. Souad Mohammad Al-Sabah. This addition is part of the publishing house's historical documentation series, focusing on significant figures in Kuwaiti history, specifically the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, who served as Kuwait's Deputy Ruler from 1950 to 1961.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the book spans 460 pages and is divided into seven chapters, offering readers a comprehensive look into the lives and contributions of the two prominent leaders. The publication is further enhanced with a collection of photos and documents, providing a visual complement to the written narratives. The release coincides with the 48th Kuwait International Book Fair, where the publishing house is actively participating.
The book fair, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, is a significant cultural event, especially as Kuwait has been chosen as the 2025 Capital of Arab Culture and Media. The fair is ongoing at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds in Mishref and will continue until November 29.
