Countdown begins for Third Nasser Bin Hamad Cycling Tour for Amateurs

Manama, The countdown has begun for the third Nasser Bin Hamad Cycling Tour for Amateurs, which kicks off on Wednesday November 1st, 2023, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

Organised by Faalyat, and supported by the Bahrain Cycling Association, the tour seeks to achieve several goals in its third edition, such as promoting the culture of cycling in the community and highlighting the positive impact of this sport on public health, in addition to expanding the base of national amateur cyclists and discovering new talents, and shedding light on the Kingdom’s beauty and iconic landmarks.

Following the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the organising committee is making every effort to bring about a successful event, and contribute to the discovery of young talents, with the aspiration to include them in the national teams.

The organising committee said the tour is expected to build on the remarkable success witnessed in its two previous editions, with wide participation and strong competition from local amateur cyclists, wishing all participants the best of luck.

Offering cash prizes to winners totalling BHD 40,000, the four-day event concludes on Saturday November 4, 2023, and includes four different stages; 6 km, 55-65 km, 140-155 km, and a 70-80 km race, in addition to a ladies’ race of a 30-40 km distance.
