Counselor Al-Dhubaibi: Grievances Committee Received 5,148 Appeals as of Today

Kuwait City: The Head of the Government's Grievances Committee for the Kuwaiti citizenship, Counselor Ali Al-Dhubaibi, announced that the committee has received 5,148 appeals as of today, Wednesday. This announcement underscores the growing number of individuals seeking redress following the revocation of their Kuwaiti citizenship.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Counselor Al-Dhubaibi emphasized the committee's commitment to simplifying the appeals process for those affected. In light of this, the committee has made the decision to receive grievances around the clock, operating 24/7, to accommodate the needs of appellants.

Furthermore, Counselor Al-Dhubaibi highlighted that the appeals process is open to any individual whose Kuwaiti citizenship has been withdrawn or revoked. This move comes as part of a recent initiative to ensure fairness and transparency in the citizenship revocation process.

The Kuwaiti government established the Grievances Committee for the Kuwaiti citizenship on March 11, 2025. The committee was specifically tasked with reviewing and addressing motions contesting the decisions to withdraw citizenships, reflecting the government's dedication to upholding justice and due process.
