Kuwait City: The Supreme Committee on Kuwaiti citizenship announced on Thursday the stripping of 506 citizenships with the matter referred to the cabinet. The decision was made during the committee's meeting chaired by Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
According to Kuwait News Agency, a statement by the Ministry of Interior revealed that one individual had their article (11) of the citizenship law stripped due to dual citizenships. Additionally, 465 individuals had their article (21 bis A) citizenship revoked due to fraud, false statements, and some had acquired it as close relatives. Furthermore, 40 individuals had their article (13) citizenship taken due to conflict with the state's supreme interest.
