Kuwait City: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) is set to host the 21st meeting of the leaders of the Red Crescent organizations from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries next Wednesday. The gathering aims to fortify the relationships among the Gulf Red Crescent societies and construct a unified Gulf humanitarian framework to address various challenges.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughamis, chairman of the KRCS's Board of Directors, emphasized that the two-day meeting will focus on improving coordination and collaboration in humanitarian and relief efforts. This is particularly crucial given the rising challenges posed by natural disasters and humanitarian crises both within the region and globally.
Al-Mughamis highlighted that the meeting will address the enhancement of rapid response capabilities, the improvement of the efficiency of specialized field personnel, and the sharing of expertise. Discussions will also cover several joint initiatives and projects, review significant accomplishments from the previous year, and outline the work plan for the future.
