Gaza: The International Islamic Charity Organization distributed winter clothing and kits to 900 displaced families in Gaza under the "Warm Hearts" project, helping ease suffering caused by extreme cold, inadequate shelter, and harsh humanitarian conditions.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the organization explained that the project targeted 500 of the poorest families, providing each with a complete winter clothing package via vouchers, allowing them to select suitable clothing while preserving dignity.
An additional 400 displaced families received winter supply kits containing wool and fleece blankets, foam mattresses, and insulating nylon sheets to protect tents from rain and wind, thereby strengthening their resilience and ability to endure harsh weather conditions safely.
The organization noted that the project was carried out when UN reports indicate nearly two million people have been displaced in Gaza, many living in damaged tents or without proper shelter amid severe infrastructure decline and failing health services.
The charity emphasized that this humanitarian effort improves the physical and mental well-being of displaced families, reduces anxiety and fear, especially among children, and encourages solidarity, hope, and resilience despite ongoing challenges faced by Gaza's residents.
