Kuwait city: The Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS) has begun accepting applications for the 13th round of the Kuwaiti Graduates Development Program (KGDP), targeting those seeking careers in the banking sector. This initiative is part of the Kafa'a program, launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) in collaboration with Kuwaiti banks and managed by KIBS.
According to Kuwait News Agency, applications for the program will be accepted from October 5, 2025, until October 23, 2025. This initiative aligns with CBK's strategic vision to enhance national capacity and support the development of the country. The program offers new graduates the chance to train in the banking field, enhancing their skills through both theoretical and field training over a period of approximately five months at various Kuwaiti banks. Participants will gain valuable practical and professional experience, contributing to the banking sector with highly qualified young national talents.
CBK Governor and KIBS Board Chairman Basel Al-Haroon commented on the program's significance, noting that KGDP is one of the best opportunities available for graduates wishing to enter the banking sector. The program is distinguished by its diverse content and hands-on training approach. KIBS collaborates with local banks to offer participants high-level field training experiences.
Al-Haroon emphasized that the program is part of the Kafa'a Initiative, targeting fresh Kuwaiti graduates, particularly those from finance and economics majors. It covers a broad range of topics and incorporates training aligned with global best practices. Applicants are selected objectively, ensuring equal opportunity and meeting the specific needs of the banking and finance sector.
The Governor concluded by reaffirming CBK's commitment to providing exceptional training opportunities for Kuwaiti youth, aiming to equip the banking sector with the national competencies necessary for the growth of the national economy.
