Cadets and Juniors Asian Fencing Championship Begins with 600 Competitors in Kuwait

Kuwait City: The 2025 Cadets and Juniors Asian Fencing Championship, hosted by Kuwait, commenced on Monday, bringing together 600 competitors from 35 countries. The championship will continue until next Friday and features a series of competitive events in various fencing categories.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Bashar Abdullah, the Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports (PAS), expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Kuwait Fencing Association in organizing the event. He highlighted their successful hosting of the Asian Championship last June as a testament to their capability in managing such continental events.

In the opening day of competition, Hong Kong secured gold medals in the men's foil category, while China claimed silver. South Korea and Japan each earned bronze medals. In the women's epee event, South Korea emerged victorious with a gold medal, China took silver, and Hong Kong along with Oman shared the bronze medals. In the women's sabre category, China achieved gold, Uzbekistan took silver, and South Korea and Hong Kong both received bronze medals.
