Kuwait city: The Cabinet was briefed on a plan to transform the Ahmadi health area into an integrated medical city during its weekly meeting held at Bayan Palace. This announcement was made through a visual presentation delivered by Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi and senior officials. The meeting was chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this initiative is part of the Ministry of Health's broader plan to enhance healthcare services, which also includes the expansion of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital. The plan aims to address administrative and technical challenges, as highlighted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Abdullah Al-Mousherji.
Additionally, the Cabinet was updated by Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar about Kuwait's standing in the global communication and information technology index. Kuwait has achieved the top position globally in the information development index for 2024, marking the second consecutive year of this accomplishment. This achievement underscores Kuwait's advanced digital infrastructure and its leadership in digital developments.
The meeting also covered correspondence from various leaders to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, focusing on strengthening relations with Kuwait. Furthermore, the Cabinet discussed decree No. 149 of 2025, which accepted the resignation of Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Nora Al-Fassam, and decree No. 150, appointing Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Resources Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeen to Al-Fassam's post. The Cabinet expressed gratitude for Al-Fassam's dedicated service during her tenure.
