Bus Plunge in Nepalese River Kills 17, Injures 26

Dhading: At least 17 people were killed, and several others were injured when a bus, carrying 44 passengers, plunged into the Trishuli River in Dhading in Nepal on Monday morning.

According to Kuwait News Agency, police reported that the Kathmandu-bound bus was en route from Pokhara when it veered off the road and fell some 300 meters below into the Trishuli River at Charaundi in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-7 of Dhading along the Prithvi Highway. The incident resulted in 17 fatalities and 26 injuries.

Security personnel from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force, along with local residents, conducted the rescue operation. The 26 injured passengers were rescued and rushed to various hospitals for treatment.
