London: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday appointed MP Darren Jones as the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister and No10 Downing Street.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Office announced in a press release that the Chief Secretary is a newly created role designed to work collaboratively across the UK Government. The role aims to drive forward progress in key political areas and will report directly to the Prime Minister.
The press release indicated that this ministerial position, based within No10 Downing Street, will oversee work across the government to support the delivery of the Prime Minister’s priorities and the Government’s plan for change.
Additionally, the Prime Minister has appointed Baroness Minouche Shafik as his chief economic advisor. She will assist the government in accelerating efforts to drive economic growth and raise living standards for all.
