Britain Calls for Restraint Amidst Iran-Israel Tensions

London: Britain has urged Iran and the Israeli occupation to exercise restraint amid escalating military tensions between the two parties. British Foreign Secretary David Lammy reached out to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, expressing concern over the rising tensions in the region. Lammy emphasized the importance of all parties settling their disputes through diplomatic channels.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Araghchi responded by describing Iran's potential reaction to Israeli aggression as compliant with the UN Charter, while also dismissing the calls for restraint as "unacceptable." He highlighted that the strikes represent a "blatant violation of international laws" and criticized European countries for their "unjustified and provocative" support of what he termed the Israeli occupation's crimes and attacks. Araghchi also urged members of the UN Security Council to condemn Israel's actions.
