Kuwait City: Boursa Kuwait witnessed over the past week a diverse performance with respect to the value and volume of traded stocks as well as the number of transactions, while the benchmark index climbed.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the AlShall index (value) reached approximately 716.1 points at the end of Thursday’s trades, marking an increase of 6.3 points or 0.9 percent compared to the previous week’s closure. This also represents a rise of 79.9 points or about 12.6 percent compared to the 2024 closing. The economic report published by AlShall Consulting Company on Saturday highlighted that the number of companies whose stock prices climbed last week was 14, up from 10 the previous week. Conversely, stocks of 12 companies turned bearish compared to 17 in the prior week, while shares of three firms remained unchanged, against two previously.
