Dhaka: Kuwait's Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ali Hamada, met with the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, to discuss potential cooperation in the military sector. Accompanying Hamada was Brigadier General Mahmoud Al-Enzi, head of Kuwait's military bureau in Dhaka. This visit was part of the preparations for an anticipated visit by the Bangladesh army chief to Kuwait, where he will meet with Kuwaiti Army Deputy Chief-of-Staff Air Marshal Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, as per a statement from the Kuwait Embassy.
According to Kuwait News Agency, during the discussions, Kuwait expressed appreciation for the role of the Bangladesh army during the Iraqi invasion, particularly in mine-clearing efforts post-liberation. Ambassador Hamada emphasized Kuwait's commitment to supporting Bangladesh and its endeavors towards stability and prosperity.
In response, General Waker-Uz-Zaman praised the existing joint military efforts between Bangladesh and Kuwait. He highlighted the ambition to elevate these collaborations to more advanced levels, covering a wide range of military fields.
