Balad Al-Khair Association Launches Comprehensive Ramadan Campaign to Support Families in Need

Kuwait city: Balad Al-Khair Association launched its Ramadan campaign on Monday, aiming to implement a series of humanitarian and development projects to support families in need both within Kuwait and internationally.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Association's Director General, Othman Al-Thuwaini, stated that the campaign underscores Kuwait's leadership in humanitarian work. He elaborated on the local initiatives, which include distributing Iftar meals and food baskets to families in need. Additionally, the campaign will support cancer and kidney patients, sponsor orphans, assist young women with marriage expenses, renovate homes, and implement programs to bring joy to orphans throughout the country.

Al-Thuwaini highlighted that this year's international projects will focus on Gaza, providing year-long livelihood support to 100 families. The program will also include Iftar meals, orphan sponsorship, water distribution, surgeries, ambulance maintenance for Kuwait Specialized Hospital, and the distribution of baby formula to vulnerable families.

Furthermore, Yemen and Sudan are included in the program's scope, with plans to construct a residential building for orphaned girls in Thailand, conduct eye surgeries in Somalia, and distribute 10,000 copies of the Holy Quran in Sri Lanka.
