Bahraini-UK economic ties reviewed

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy underscored the importance of the historic ties and the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, that are underpinned by multidisciplinary cooperation and coordination.

 

The minister said that continuing to build on the outcome of the two countries’ bilateral relations would further drive achieving their joint interests and contribute to fulfilling the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 

The Finance Minister spoke during a meeting with Lord Dominic Johnson of Lainston, the Minister of State for Investment of the United Kingdom and his accompanying delegation.

 

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mumtalakat, Mark Cooper, the Deputy Director at the UK Office for Investment.

 

The two parties discussed the ongoing development of Bahraini-UK ties, particularly in the financial and economic sectors.

 

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the importance of the memoranda of understanding between the two countries and their active role in boosting integration and economic and investment partnership.
