Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain successfully launched its first nationally made and designed "Al-Munther" satellite into orbit, state-run Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported on Saturday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Munther arrived successfully at its designated orbit aboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on mission Transporter-13, launched from the Vandenberg Space Launch Complex in California.
The satellite's earth observation capabilities are designed to take photos from space and relay them back to Earth. It also includes auxiliary payloads consisting of AI algorithms and cybersecurity features.
