Bahrain strongly condemns Israeli bombing of Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital in Gaza

Manama, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s condemnation and strong denunciation of the Israeli bombing of Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital in Gaza, which resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of innocent citizens.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and to the Palestinian people and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

The Kingdom of Bahrain calls upon the international community for an urgent ceasefire in Gaza, and to ensure respect for international humanitarian law in protecting hospitals, homes, and civilian facilities.

It also calls for providing protection for civilians and opening emergency aid corridors to allow medical and relief aid, food, water, electricity, and fuel into Gaza.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed Bahrain’s support for any regional or international effort that would deescalate and stop violence, as well as to revive the peace process in the Middle East in a way that guarantees the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution, the Arab Peace Initiative, and international legitimacy resolutions.
