Vienna: Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger called on Russia on Saturday to get engaged in serious peace negotiations after the latter's intensive assaults launched last night on Ukraine's civil energy infrastructure.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister tweeted on "X" about the ongoing conflict, emphasizing that the war in Europe continues as Russia once again targeted Ukraine's civil energy supply on a large scale. This, she stated, is a clear attempt to undermine the spirit of the Ukrainian people ahead of the winter season.
She further noted that these strikes necessitate a stronger push for diplomatic efforts. Her comments come amidst discussions in several European countries about balancing support for Ukraine with efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.
