Vienna: The 9th edition of the Austrian World Summit (AWS) kicked off on Tuesday, initiated by the renowned American actor of Austrian origin, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is the mastermind behind the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative. The summit is under the patronage of Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and involves numerous climate protection advocates, artists, and scientists.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Arnold Schwarzenegger emphasized in his keynote speech that the summit aims to gather participants from 80 countries to find solutions to the climate issue. He highlighted that technology can play a crucial role in addressing environmental problems. An exhibition is being held on the sidelines of the summit, showcasing state-of-the-art innovations and technologies aimed at tackling environmental challenges.
The summit, which was first launched in Vienna in 2017, is designed to foster coordination among stakeholders from various sectors and to build a broad coalition dedicated to safeguarding the environment.
