Dera ismail khan: At least two policemen and one attacker were killed on Wednesday during an attack in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, which borders Afghanistan, as reported by local police.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the district police spokesperson, Yaqoob Khan, stated that the two police officers were ambushed while they were on their way to purchase food in the Kulachi area of KPK's Dera Ismail Khan district. The attackers opened fire on the officers, resulting in their deaths.
In the aftermath of the attack, police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel pursued the assailants, killing one of the attackers during an operation. However, the other two militants sustained injuries but managed to escape.
The police spokesperson confirmed that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased militant, and a search operation is actively underway to apprehend the remaining attackers.
