Kuwait City: The Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, affirmed on Monday the deep bilateral ties that bind Kuwait and Georgia, marking three decades of diplomatic relations.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Marafi made these remarks to reporters during the Georgian Embassy's Independence Day celebrations. He highlighted ongoing coordination efforts to arrange high-level mutual visits and anticipated the signing of several bilateral agreements before the year's end. He also noted Kuwait's pride in the noticeable increase in tourism between the two nations, facilitated by the availability of direct flights.
Georgia's Ambassador to Kuwait, Noshrevan Lomtatidze, also spoke at the event, praising Kuwait for its vital role as a key international partner for Georgia. He emphasized the close relations between both countries and expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti people for their warm reception and generous hospitality, describing Kuwait as a "jewel of the Gulf."
