ASC Executive Committee Convenes in Kuwait During Asian Shooting Championship


Kuwait city: The Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) Executive Committee held its 42nd meeting in Kuwait, chaired by Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah. The meeting took place during the Asian Shooting Championship at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Shooting Range Complex.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the committee, including the deputy chairman and members from the continent’s national federations, discussed topics aimed at developing Asian shooting sports. The discussion focused on enhancing the ASC’s role in supporting male and female shooters across Asia.

The committee also evaluated efforts to increase the number of Asian shooting qualifiers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. This comes in light of the notable performance of Asian teams in the Paris 2024 Games. Sheikh Salman expressed gratitude to Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, as well as the Public Authority for Sport, for their consistent support of the confederation.
