Around 132,000 Teachers and Staff Set to Resume Work for New Academic Year 2025-2026 – MoE

Kuwait city: The new academic year 2025-2026 is set to kick off tomorrow as schools across the nation prepare to welcome back students and staff. The Ministry of Education announced that around 131,960 employees, including 104,163 members of the teaching staff and 27,797 members of the administrative staff, will resume their roles in general, religious, and special education schools.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry emphasized its commitment to implementing new curricula from kindergarten to ninth grade. These developments are aimed at enhancing national identity, aligning with the latest scientific and technical advancements, and achieving quality education. The Ministry is also focusing on developing educational plans to support these objectives.

Training courses for the staff will incorporate both in-person sessions at specialized centers and online modules via e-platforms. This approach is designed to provide flexible participation options that are expected to positively impact educational outcomes. The Ministry highlighted that the establishment of the new curricula is the result of ongoing scientific and educational efforts, aligned with the latest educational standards. This initiative aims to open doors to modern science and contribute effectively to the country's future development.
