Araghchi: Iran-US Nuclear Talks Not Possible Under Current Conditions

Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Sunday that there is currently "no possibility" of negotiations with the US on nuclear talks, citing the absence of any constructive or positive approach from Washington. In an interview with the Government Information Center, Araghchi emphasized that talks with the United States are not feasible at this stage because Iran has observed "no positive or constructive attitude" from the American side. According to Kuwait News Agency, Araghchi mentioned that Tehran remains open in principle to discussions that are "based on equality and serve the interests of both sides." However, he noted that "the attitude we see from the Americans does not indicate such readiness." The situation is further complicated by the fact that Oman, which previously hosted several rounds of US-Iran nuclear talks, saw these efforts derailed by the Israeli occupation war on Iran in June. During that conflict, Israeli forces launched attacks on Tehran, prompting Iran to retaliate b y launching missiles towards the occupied territory.
