Kuwait City: President of the Arab Parliament Mohammad Al-Yamahi has affirmed the parliament’s full support for the Arab initiatives aimed at attaining women empowerment at various levels. Al-Yamahi, in a statement marking the International Women’s Day, greeted the Arab women as main partners in development and progress of the nation.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Arab Parliament places support for women on top of its priorities, with Al-Yamahi praising the Arab women’s contributions at the Arab, regional, and international levels. He specifically acknowledged the Palestinian woman’s great sacrifices and steadfastness amid the massacres and wars of genocide carried out by the flagrant occupation entity in the occupied territories.
Al-Yamahi highlighted that most of the victims in the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has lasted more than a year and three months, were women and children. He emphasized that the Palestinian woman will remain an icon for struggle, steadfastness, and heroism until the Palestinian people achieve their legitimate rights.
