Arab Parliament Calls for Global Action Against Violations on Palestinians

Kuwait City: President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammad Al-Yammahi, reaffirmed the Parliament's stance in support of the Palestinian people and their ongoing struggle to reclaim their land and rights as per international law. This statement was made on the 49th anniversary of Land Day, emphasizing the Parliament's solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Yammahi highlighted the enduring resilience and determination of the Palestinian struggle, underscoring the need for peace in line with UN resolutions and the Arab vision of a two-state solution, establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The anniversary comes amid claims of genocide and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, causing numerous civilian casualties.

The Arab Parliament reiterated its rejection of any plans to displace or annex Palestinian lands, while urging adherence to international laws and resolutions supporting the Palestinians' right to return to their homes. Al-Yammahi also endorsed the Egyptian initiative for the rapid reconstruction of the Gaza Strip to ensure Palestinians can remain on their land.

He called for the international community, including the Security Council and various regional parliaments, to take responsibility and address violations against Palestinians. Al-Yammahi emphasized the importance of supporting humanitarian relief efforts and working towards ending the occupation.
