Kuwait city: Head of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development's regional office in the Arabian Peninsula, Darar Al-Mustafa, affirmed that establishing the organization's headquarters in Kuwait reflects its commitment to agricultural development, food security, and joint Arab cooperation to achieve sustainable Arab agricultural security.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Mustafa, in remarks concerning the issuance of Decree Law No. 81 of 2025, highlighted that the decree underscores Kuwait's political leadership's dedication to supporting collaborative Arab efforts across various sectors. He noted that the Arab Ministers of Agriculture's decision to select Kuwait as the site for the organization's regional office would significantly contribute to achieving its objectives of Arab integration and ensuring safe and sustainable food security.
Al-Mustafa emphasized that Kuwait is a founding and supporting member of the organization. He also mentioned ongoing collaborations between the organization and Kuwait, particularly in supporting the Kuwait National Greening Initiative, combating transboundary animal diseases, and advancing aquaculture.
Furthermore, Al-Mustafa expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti government and the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources for their support. This assistance is vital for the Regional Office's mission of fostering cooperation and integration among regional countries to advance agricultural development and food security.
