Arab Mission Official Hopes for Positive Outcomes on Palestinian Rights

Washington: Deputy chief of the Arab mission in Washington, Khaled Hosni, expressed hopes that the resolutions and measures discussed by the Board of Peace, chaired by US President Donald Trump, would advance the legitimate rights of Palestinians.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Hosni, speaking at the conclusion of a meeting attended by 40 representatives, highlighted the unified stance of Arab countries in supporting Palestinian interests. He emphasized that the Arab League's participation in the board aims to encourage President Trump to uphold his stance against the annexation of the West Bank, the displacement of Palestinians, and the confiscation of their properties.

Hosni noted that Arab countries involved in the board are committed to monitoring the discussions and actions closely, reinforcing their longstanding support for the Palestinian cause. Earlier in the meeting, President Trump expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait for contributing over USD 7 billion towards a relief package.

Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah, announced a substantial contribution of USD one billion during the board's first meeting, demonstrating Kuwait's dedication to supporting initiatives aimed at alleviating Palestinian suffering and restoring stability in the Gaza Strip.
