Cairo: Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abulghait on Thursday held a meeting with members of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry program for training diplomats. The meeting marked the conclusion of a training program organized by the Arab League Secretariat General for a delegation from the Kuwaiti Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute, held from December 1-5. The session was attended by the Kuwaiti Permanent Delegate at the Arab League Ambassador Talal Al-Mutairi and the Assistant Secretary General, Head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Divisions, Ambassador Mohammad Al-Ojairi. According to Kuwait News Agency, the secretary general briefed the Kuwaiti delegation on the organization's role in enhancing cooperation among member states concerning social, political, and economic challenges at the regional level. He emphasized the Arab League's efforts in strengthening ties among member countries and highlighted the role of specialized ministerial councils and affiliate organizations. Ambassador A l-Mutairi, the Kuwaiti permanent delegate, expressed his gratitude to the league chief for the informative briefing on the league's efforts in fostering joint Arab action. He praised the constructive role of the secretariat general in supporting Arab causes, including those pertinent to the State of Kuwait. Dr. Mubarak Al-Asfour, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for the Affairs of Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute, noted that the delegation's visit to Cairo was in response to an invitation by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development, affiliated with the Arab League. Dr. Al-Asfour highlighted that the delegation's agenda included lectures and visits to the organization's headquarters, the local Diplomatic Studies Institute, and the Cairo Center for Settling Strifes. The Saud Al-Nasser Institute aims to enhance cooperation with regional and international counterparts, enabling foreign ministry personnel to enrich their knowledge and explore diverse expertise. The five-day training prog ram featured a lecture on the Arab League's history, tasks, and efforts concerning joint Arab security, combating terrorism, and migration.
