Arab League Intensifies Efforts to Document Israeli Occupation Crimes

Cairo: The Arab League is continuing the task of monitoring and documenting the Israeli occupation crimes, the organization's chief affirmed on Sunday.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Arab League is calling upon international justice organizations to take responsibility in addressing these crimes, despite facing considerable pressure from the Israeli government and its allies. This call to action was voiced by the organization's Secretary General, Ahmad Abul-Gheit, in a statement delivered by the assistant for Palestine and occupied territories, Ambassador Said Abu Ali, during a seminar. The seminar was organized by the Arab League to discuss the prosecution of occupation officials responsible for crimes in the occupied territories.

"We have been witnessing with pain and wrath facts of the continuing genocide in Gaza Strip and horrific crimes perpetrated by the occupation," said Abul-Gheit, referencing the ongoing aggression in Gaza. He stressed that the lack of action against these acts could be seen as complicity. The statement highlighted the severity of the situation, describing the occupation's actions as war crimes, crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing, displacement, settlements, and judaization.

Abul-Gheit also pointed out the dire conditions in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, where similar crimes have been committed as part of the occupation's aggressive policies. He emphasized the Arab League's dedication to monitoring and documenting these crimes, supporting the Palestinians' quest for justice, and holding the perpetrators accountable.

The seminar is part of the Arab League's broader efforts to bring the culprits to the International Court of Justice and prevent them from escaping justice, further demonstrating the organization's commitment to addressing the ongoing crisis.
