Cairo: The 163rd meeting of the Arab League Foreign Ministers commenced on Wednesday under the leadership of Jordan, with active participation from several nations, including Kuwait. The meeting is set to address a broad range of regional issues and future strategies.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting's agenda includes reviewing the outcomes of the previous 162nd session and making preparations for the upcoming Arab summit scheduled to take place in Iraq next May. Central topics for discussion include the ongoing Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip, the Arab peace initiative, and measures to counter Israeli activities against sacred sites in Jerusalem.
The meeting will also focus on supporting Palestine and other Arab nations affected by Israeli land confiscations, including territories in Syria's Golan Heights and occupied Palestinian regions. Additionally, discussions will cover developments in Libya, Yemen, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, and Lebanon, as well as the issue of the Iranian presence on three Emirati islands.
The ministers will delve into enhancing inter-Arab cooperation across various fields and strengthening relationships with regional and international organizations. Kuwait's delegation is led by Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya.
