Brussels: Arab League permanent delegates and ambassadors of the European Union's Political and Security Committee (PSC) stressed the importance of continuing joint Arab-European efforts to address the socio-political-economic and security challenges facing both regions.
According to Kuwait News Agency, this occurred during the 10th meeting between Arab permanent delegates and the EU's PSC in Brussels, led by the UAE's permanent delegate to the Arab League, Hamad Al-Zaabi, and the Chair of the EU's PSC, Delphine Pronk.
The meeting focused on issues of mutual priority, notably the Palestinian issue, which participants emphasized remains central to the region's conflict. They also reviewed developments in Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen.
Security concerns, including those in the Red Sea, migration, and refugees, were addressed alongside discussions on the Ukrainian crisis and its impact on regional and international security.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of both parties' commitment to strengthening political and security cooperation amidst rapid global developments.
