Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday held a series of high-level meetings at Baabda Palace, addressing key political, economic, and diplomatic developments.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun met with French Ambassador Herv© Magro to discuss the latest regional and local developments, including the recent visit of U.S. envoy Tom Barrack and his talks with Lebanese officials. The discussions also involved bilateral relations and international efforts to support Lebanon's stability.
On the parliamentary front, the President engaged with MP Dr. Haidar Nasser to review recent political updates and assess the developmental and service-related needs of North Lebanon, with a particular focus on Tripoli.
In a separate meeting, Aoun hosted Dr. Jihad Azour, Director of the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department and a former minister. Their discussion centered on Lebanon's economic situation, ongoing reform efforts, and the broader economic outlook for the region.
