Ambassador praises Bahrain-Egypt relations

Marking the anniversary of Egypt’s July 23 Revolution, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, Ambassador of Bahrain to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, affirmed the deep rooted Bahraini-Egyptian relations, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The ambassador praised the bilateral relations between the two countries in an article published in the Egyptian newspaper “Al Ahram” where she expressed Bahrain’s pride in the diplomatic relations that have existed for five decades, under the wise leadership of both countries and the support of their governments, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Ministerand Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egyptian Prime Minister.

She noted that both governments expressed their interest in engaging in political discussions, improving cooperation and coordination, and enhancing economic, political, and security integration, as well as implementing more than 80 bilateral agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MoU), and an executive program for cooperation between the two nations.

The ambassador expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for Egypt’s contributions to Arab national security and Arab and Islamic causes, as well as their desire to coordinate international positions, cooperate in security and defense affairs, and exchange media, culture, and human development expertise.

She highlighted the establishment of a joint government committee for trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation, the increase in Bahraini investment in Egypt, as well as the signing of 12 agreements and partnerships for nine industrial projects last February.
