Amb. Al-Zamanan: Kuwait Eager to Engage with Japan Business Community

Tokyo: The Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan, Sami Al-Zamanan, expressed on Monday his country's eagerness to engage with the Japanese business community, exploring all possible avenues for cooperation. According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Zamanan made these remarks during the Kuwait Investment Outreach Seminar, co-hosted with the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). He emphasized the embassy's readiness to assist and engage with Japanese businesses interested in Kuwait, highlighting the trust placed in the quality and expertise of Japanese companies. The seminar highlighted the increasing momentum in Kuwait-Japan economic relations and reflected a mutual commitment to expanding partnerships in line with Kuwait's long-term vision for sustainable development. The event, held at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Tokyo, followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between JETRO and KDIPA during the visit of His Highness the Crown Prince , Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Japan last May. The seminar was attended by representatives from 20 leading Japanese companies. It aimed to spotlight investment opportunities in Kuwait and explore ways to enhance economic collaboration between the two nations. Presentations were delivered by Mitsubishi, detailing its operations in Kuwait, and by Citibank, offering insights into their economic activities in Kuwait and the country's economic trends. Furthermore, KDIPA provided an in-depth presentation on investment opportunities in Kuwait, focusing on the Kuwait Vision 2035 and the nation's ongoing infrastructure and diversification projects.
