Algeria’s President Appoints Sifi Ghrieb as Prime Minister, Directs Formation of New Government

Kuwait city: Algerian presidency said Sunday that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune officially appointed Sifi Ghrieb as prime minister, days after naming him acting premier to replace Nadir Larbaoui. Tebboune tasked Ghrieb with forming a new government after receiving him at the presidency.

According to Kuwait News Agency, on August 28, Tebboune terminated Larbaoui's duties by presidential decree and named Ghrieb acting prime minister to oversee preparations for the Intra-African Trade Fair.
