Algeria Seeks to Leverage Islamic Development Bank Expertise for Private Sector Growth


Algiers: Algerian Finance Minister Abdul Karim Buzard announced on Tuesday that Algeria aims to benefit from the Islamic Development Bank’s (IsDB) expertise in supporting and funding the private sector. The announcement came during the opening of the Private Sector Forum, part of the IsDB meetings held in the capital city of Algiers.



According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister Buzard emphasized that Algeria’s business climate has seen significant improvements in recent years due to a series of reforms implemented by the authorities. He reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment to nurturing the private sector by creating conducive conditions to attract investments. The minister urged investors to capitalize on Algeria’s available opportunities and substantial potential.



The event was attended by key figures, including the head of the IsDB group, Mohammad Al-Jasser, and several investors and foreign dignitaries. The forum serves as an important initiative by underscoring the crucial role of the private sector in development.



Minister Buzard further explained Algeria’s unique approach to economic diversification, which aims to enhance the private sector’s role and support new projects.
