Algeria Pres. sacks minister of finance

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune signed on Tuesday a decree terminating the duties of Finance Minister Abderrahmane Raouya.

Under the decree, Secretary-General of the Ministry Brahim Djamel Kessali was named as the acting minister of finance, Algeria Press Service reported, citing a Presidential statement. Based on Paragraph 7, Article 91 of the Constitution, the President the Republic of Algeria signed the decree after consultation with Prime Minister A?¯mene Benabderrahmane.

The presidential statement failed to elaborate on the causes of the ouster of Raouya who assumed his duties on last February 17.
