Kuwait City: Director General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in promoting cultural and creative activities and facilitating sustainable development during the 24th session of the Arab ministers and officials of culture.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Dr. Amar, in an interview, stated that cultural and creative industries are central to economic dynamism. He urged the utilization of AI resources to generate employment and enhance Arab culture and heritage on a global scale.
Dr. Amar highlighted the current weaknesses in the cultural and creative industries within the Arab world and reiterated the need for AI to rejuvenate these sectors. He also advocated for increased collaboration among Arab countries to coordinate efforts in cultural industries and establish culture as a fundamental pillar of development.
