Al-Sudani stresses the importance of distancing the State Council from any pressure or political interference

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani visited today, Sunday, the headquarters of the State Council.

The media office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers said in a statement, “During the visit, Al-Sudani followed the course of the Council’s work, and listened to a briefing on the most important files and obstacles facing work, and the necessary requirements for performing tasks and development efforts.”

Al-Sudani pointed out that “the reality of the state and society now depends on the government program and its implementation, which is the most prominent path to reform, which requires the solidarity and cooperation of all state institutions.”

He stressed, “the need to keep the State Council and its work away from any pressure or political interference, and that the government is keen for the Council to take its space and role transparently and in accordance with the law, and that the government has great interest in the work of the Council; for its contribution at the level of legislation, providing advice, opinion and administrative judiciary, in a way that guarantees the preservation of the rights of the citizen and the employee and the protection of the interests of the state.

The Prime Minister stressed “the need to extend justice wherever possible, to quickly resolve cases, and to scrutinize laws from an advanced perspective and for the benefit of citizens.”
