Al-Salam Charity Launches “Peace Village 3” to Aid Yemeni Communities

Al-salam: Al-Salam Association for Humanitarian and Charitable Work inaugurated "Peace Village 3" in Yemen as part of its humanitarian and development efforts aimed at improving the quality of life and providing an integrated environment for residents through a package of vital service projects.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Director General of the association Hamad Al-Aoun mentioned during the opening that the project includes 10 residential buildings comprising 108 apartments, in addition to a mosque accommodating around 550 male and 150 female worshippers. The village also features a vocational training center with an annual capacity of 320 trainees to support the economic empowerment of beneficiary families.

Al-Aoun added that the village includes a school with nine classrooms serving up to 324 students, as well as a medical center capable of providing healthcare services to more than 200 cases daily.

The project also comprises a water desalination plant with a production capacity ranging between 80,000 and 120,000 liters per day, alongside water networks estimated at 450 liters per second to ensure the sustainability of essential services.

Additionally, the village features a public park spanning approximately 700 square meters with a capacity of 200 children, a sports field covering about 550 square meters, a solar energy system, and other service and development facilities, including a Quran memorization center and a computer lab.

Al-Aoun said the project aims to foster an integrated community built on education, healthcare, and sustainable development, contributing to long-term stability for beneficiaries in Yemen.
