Al-Maliki confirms his support for the stability of the situation in Russia.. and Moscow calls for mechanisms to settle its debts incurred by Iraq

Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, expressed his support for the stability of the situation in Russia and the extension of security in it, stressing the importance of continuing work and cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, indicating that Iraq is living in a state of political and security stability and is on the verge of a campaign of construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of all service facilities.

This came during Al-Maliki’s meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kotrashev, where they discussed developments in the political and security situation in the country and the region, as well as the repercussions of the Wagner Group crisis, which ended yesterday, as well as the war in Ukraine, and the importance of using the language of dialogue to end the war.

For his part, the Russian Ambassador renewed “his country’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation between the two countries, and also called for finding mechanisms for cooperation in resolving the Russian debts owed by Iraq.”
