Baghdad -The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, and the head of Al-Azm Alliance, Muthanna Al-Samarrai, stressed the necessity of unifying efforts in order to support the government program.
The State of Law Coalition stated in a statement: “The two sides discussed developments in the political and security scene in the country and the region, as well as the repercussions of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and affirmed Iraq’s firm position on the Palestinian issue, and the right of the Palestinian people to liberate their land and establish their state.”
Al-Maliki and Al-Samarrai discussed preparations for holding local council elections scheduled for the end of this year, and the necessity of unifying efforts among political forces and coordinating positions within the House of Representatives in order to support the government program in light of the political stability the country is witnessing./ End
