Cairo: The 8th week of the preliminary round of the Kuwait handball league concluded on Wednesday with Al-Araby claiming a shared championship title alongside Salmiya. In a decisive match, Al-Araby defeated Yarmuk with a score of 32-22, securing their position at the top of the league standings.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the final matchups were intensely contested, with Al-Gurain narrowly edging out Salmiya in a close 28-27 victory. Despite this loss, Salmiya’s overall performance in the league allowed them to share the championship title with Al-Araby.
The 8th week also featured several other compelling matches. Sulaibikhat delivered a dominant performance against Tadamon, winning 42-25. Meanwhile, Qadsiya overcame Fahaheel with a score of 27-23, and Burgan triumphed over Al-Nasr, securing a 39-28 victory.
This week of matches marked the conclusion of the preliminary round, setting the stage for the final phase of the competition, where the top teams will compete for the ultimate championship title
