AFRICOM Commander and Libyan Prime Minister Discuss Military Training Programs

Tripoli: United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) Commander Dagvin Anderson met on Monday with Libyan Prime Minister and Defense Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah to discuss strengthening joint military training programs.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the talks focused on the importance of training, equipment, and developing the Libyan army's capabilities. Dbeibah emphasized the need to support the military institution through effective partnerships and specialized training to enhance security, stability, and counter regional threats, the statement said.

Meanwhile, Anderson reiterated AFRICOM's commitment to providing support to Libya and commended progress in joint training and cooperation.
