KUWAIT CITY: Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA First Vice-President, has lauded Kuwait for its successful organization and hosting of the Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji Zain 26). The event, marked by high attendance, showcased the effective collaboration between the local organizing committee and the Kuwaiti and Gulf Football Associations.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Salman issued a press statement from Bahrain praising the efforts that contributed to the event's success. He highlighted the significant audience turnout, which underscored the Gulf Cup's appeal and the efficient execution by the organizing bodies. Sheikh Salman extended his congratulations to the Bahrain National Team for their victory, emphasizing this achievement as a testament to the advancing status of Bahraini football at both regional and continental levels.
Furthermore, Sheikh Salman acknowledged the commendable performance of the Omani National Team throughout the tournament.
